Peter Dowd is Professor of Mining Engineering at the University of Adelaide, Australia. He is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering and a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering. His research interests are geostatistics; quantitative geology; stochastic modelling of fractures in rock masses for geothermal energy and mining applications; environmental modelling.
