SHIPPING AND DELIVERY
Orders will be sent by CTT Expresso, with the expected average delivery time, after dispatch from our logistics center, being 1 to 3 working days, for Continental Portugal, 6 to 15 working days for the Azores and 5 to 7 days for Madeira .
Shipping for logistical preparation and dispatch will be made on the same day, if payment for the order is confirmed by 3pm (Mainland Portugal time). If payment is received after this time, the order is only sent to logistics on the next business day. Deliveries are not made to PO Boxes.
In the case of international shipping, the average delivery time varies according to the destination, following the international delivery standards of CTT Expressos. International transit times may vary and should be considered indicative only, taking into account restrictions arising from the Covid 19 pandemic. In the destination country, local taxes, import duties or other related expenses are the responsibility of the recipient.
Orders received online will be shipped within the limit of available stock. If the product is unavailable, the publisher undertakes to inform the customer as soon as possible.
The order placed may be canceled as long as it has not yet been shipped. If the order has already been shipped, you can choose to return it, as long as it meets the defined requirements.
RETURNS
The customer has a minimum period of 14 days to terminate the contract, without paying compensation and without needing to indicate the reason, being reimbursed for the amounts paid for the items, which must be returned in perfect condition, with costs borne by the customer. You can also request a replacement for the item if it is not delivered in perfect condition. Returned products must be in the same condition as they were sold.
To proceed with the return or request a replacement of the item, you must contact our commercial services. The return process differs depending on the shipping address.

Any communication carried out between the customer and our services at the time of purchase is confidential. IST Press does not maintain any records relating to the personal data of payment methods, this data being used only at the time of the transaction to confirm and authorize payment. Customers’ personal data will not be used for any purpose other than sending orders.
EBOOKS
The process of purchasing a book in digital format is identical to the process of purchasing other books. After purchase, the customer will receive credentials for perpetual access to the purchased eBook, via email, as well as the corresponding invoice. Perpetual access does not allow you to print, copy or share the eBook.
The RRP of eBooks includes VAT on services and does not include a discount.
The ebooks available for purchase at IST Press are read on the iLEIO platform.This platform allows the creation of personal digital libraries with permanent access online or on mobile devices with the iLEIO APP.
iLEIO stands out for not requiring software and/or equipment to read, create or store your personal digital library, freedom to add ebooks from various sources, allowing reading on PCs via the web browser, as well as using on mobile devices (with Android systems) via the APP.
After perpetual access is provided, when billing, the eBook cannot be returned, as it is a digital product. The execution of the respective access will be considered a breach of inviolability, and it will not be possible, from that moment on, to proceed with its return, under the terms and for the purposes set out in paragraph d) of article 7 of Decree-Law no. 143/2001 of 26 April and art. 16 paragraph m) of Directive no. 2011/83/EU, of the European Parliament and of the Council, of 25 October 2011.
