IST Press has its own distribution network, which covers the main national cities, and which also extends to several foreign countries.
I. NATIONAL DISTRIBUTION
If you wish to have our books for sale in your bookstore, you can consult our commercial services by email (ist-press@tecnico.ulisboa.pt) or telephone (21 841 76 86).
COMMERCIAL CONDITIONS
The books will be supplied on a consignment basis or on a firm account basis, with a discount on the RRP (VAT not included) and a payment term to be agreed.
FIRM ACCOUNT: The books will be accompanied by an invoice, with a payment deadline to be agreed. One-off orders from new customers will be shipped after billing.
CONSIGNMENT: After signing a supply contract on a consignment basis, the books will be accompanied by a consignment delivery note. Livraria undertakes to carry out the calculation or request for replacement on the agreed date, followed by issuing the respective invoice. The verification or replacement request must include the consignment delivery note number, titles and number of copies to be invoiced or replaced.
DELIVERIES
The books will be sent by CTT Expresso, with an average delivery time of 1 to 3 business days.
Shipping costs will be borne by the Publisher. If, for any reason attributable to Livraria, delivery involves an additional cost, it will assume the resulting charges in a debit note subsequently sent by IST Press.
All book deliveries will be accompanied by the respective transport guide, consignment guide or invoice, and the Livraria must check that the delivery complies with the order placed and the number of volumes delivered, and then sign the second copy of the document and send it to it by email.
Any complaints of non-conformity of the books delivered in relation to the order form or differences between the transport note and the books sent must be reported within 5 working days following the delivery date.
RETURNS
The return of books under a firm account must be made by the end of the calendar year on the date of the invoice, always referring to the number and date of the invoice, when in good condition. Damaged books will not be accepted.
In the case of returns of books on consignment, the Livraria may return them to IST Press, whenever it is convenient, and must indicate the number and date of our consignment slip on the return slip. Only specimens in good condition are accepted.
In relation to books with printing defects or delivered by the carrier in poor condition, these will be replaced upon return of the damaged copies, and the Livraria must contact IST Press’ commercial services within 30 days from the date of the delivery guide. consignment or invoice.

PAYMENT
Payment of invoices can be made by bank transfer or collection.
In order to facilitate control of the customer account and the issuance of receipts, payments must be accompanied by information about the payment originator and documents to be settled.
PRICE CHANGES
The Publisher may whenever it wishes to change the prices of published books. Whenever there is a change in prices, IST Press will communicate the respective change to Livraria at least 30 days in advance of the date set for the new price to come into effect.
